Tinkerin B-Day Layout

My nephew made sure that I got pictures of his birthday. I couldn't be there, but I made sure the presents got to him. His new baby sister was born just 4 days before his birthday, so he had lots to celebrate. He is the only boy and the oldest of 4. So he has a lot of big brother chores in front of him.

This layout uses a level 1 Tinkerin layout from CTMH. Level 1 means that the layers of paper are already completed for you. I really like level 1 kits. They make it easy to put together some great pages fast. I always add to them so they are unique. Below is the actual kit. It can be purchased on my website.

The above layout is made with the Reflections bottom border four in a row. I added some of the printed paper that comes with the kit to the top, so the title would stand out more. I used sunflower cardstock and the Cricut to make the title. The journal area was made with D1359 Comments stamps set and a sticker from the kit.

This page is the Reflections Triple play Three of a kind. I added the sunflower strip in the middle. Bordered all of the pictures and used the stickers FUN that came with the kit.

I hope this gives you some ways to make something semi-homade.

Thanks for lookin

MaKayla & Daydream

I am sitting at the computer at my mom's with this beautiful baby sitting on my lap. Wow! I have never typed with a baby's help.
This layout was completed at the weekend crop. I used my Cricut to do the title. The rest of the supplies are from CTMH.

Weekend- Bella and Birthday Layout

Saturday was a great day! I got together with some of my Close To MY Heart Sisters and we cropped, played, ate, and had fun. Unfortunately all of my pictures are gone. My chip said it was corupt and needed reformatted. I am very sad about this. I took lots of pictures of us and we were at Lisa's house. She has a great crop room that I wanted to share. She also had beautiful flowers that I took pictures of and the pictures are lost.

I think I am jinxed when it comes to electronics, because first my cricut wouldn't cut correct and then my camera lost my pictures.

Anyway here is a layout that I finished on Saturday. This is my mom's birthday. Her B-day is actually in January ( does that give you any idea of how far behind I am) I am also a random scrapbooker. I don't go in any kind of order. I look at a picture and if I have an idea of how to scrapbook it I go, if not it goes back into the package until later.

The layout is from a Level 1 My Reflections Kit called Bella. I changed it up by adding the 1/2 circle on the right side and adding the chipboard letters.

Hint: I use every part of the stickers that come with the kit. The wavy smokey plum on the right side of the above layout is what was around the wavey border sticker on the first layout. I cut it and used it to create a small border here. I also used the wavey border on the 62 page as well as some of the left over sticker. It shows up on the double layout above.

Mini Stationary Purse

Summer is flying by. I have lots to do, but have had headaches a lot that seem like Migraines. So I haven't got much accomplished yet. I am a teacher and summer school was out June 30th so I have had 10 days and I should have got something completed, but I have become a couch potato instead.

Saw this project on Inking Idaho and thought I would give it a try. The link gives instructions on how to make it. It is really rather easy. The approximate size is 6" X 6 1/2". So it isn't very large. I used 3 pieces of solid card stock and one piece of printed to make the actual purse.

I used my coluzzle to cut the ovals for the handles. There is a pocket on the front, back and one inside. I used CTMH Emporium paper for the decoration on the outside pockets and Emporium Creative Basics for the inside pocket.

It wouldn't stay closed the way I wanted it to, so I used some velcro spots on the top corners. The inside pocket is for envelopes and the original had a mini notepad and pen on the other side. I don't have or can't find any mini- notepads, so that will have to wait until I get to the store.

The one on Inking Idaho has cards that coordinate and they go in the outside pockets. Here are 2 simple cards that I have started.

Wishes Just Because Card Workshop

I found some time to work with Wishes ( CTMH's new Card Confidence Program). Wishes has some workshops instructions in it. The next 2 pictures shows the cards that I made with the Just Because Card Workshop. It is on pages 68-73. This workshop makes 20 cards 10 designs and 2 of each design. If you are a card maker Wishes is a must.

I used Moon Doggie level 2 paper, 4mm and 8mm brads. I have left some of the cards blank so when I need a card it will be easy to finish it for a specific person.

The pictures below are cards that I finished for the July 4th Holiday. I used D1141 So Sweet Seasons stamp set.

The above card is the same design, but assembled slightly different.

The cards above are different because I wasn't paying attention to the direction the slits were to be cut for the buckle, but I think I made them both work. Thanks for looking.
