Craft Room Chaos

The corner in my craft room is for my computer and stuff. My old desk has finally found a new and loving home, so it was time to put the new one together.

I am a stacker, so this caused some chaos
for a short time. I hope to get back to crafting soon.

Before:

Putting the desk together. The instructions were not very good.

One part down the corner to go.

11 pm - night 3 and the desk is complete

After: YEA!! it is completed. Now I have to figure out what to do with all of the stuff that was on the other desk that is now in a box.

I got this box to unload the old desk and then turned around and had to go get another box since this box filled up so fast. This is Fluffy and she loves boxes.

Scarpbooking Fever

Areen has been in the states since Aug 6th and with me since Aug 9th and she has the Scrapbooking Fever. I just introduced paper crafts to her and she has taken to it. We got her pictures printed and she has scrapbooked 6- 2 page spread. School has started, so she may slow down some.


The pages come from a 3-Birds kit I purchased on QVC. She is also making cards.

Cards: For You and Miss You

I got this card from Dawnette Wiskur ina swap. It is a perfect for Areen. She likes pink. I had it on her bed when she got here with some goodies. Dawnette used CTMH paper, stickers, and Buttons, I am not sure where the ribbon is from. Paper and stickers are from Boom-Di-Ada kit

This card is Areen's first card. She was very interested in my craft room. I have things on display and she thought I had bought all of them. I told her that I made them and she asked if she could learn how. She is currently working on her first scrapbook. Not bad for only being here a week and she already has the bug.

This is an anniversary card i made for my Friends Cheryl and Gene. They are celebrating their 1st anniversary. They own a horse farm and large barn.. This is were i keep my horse.

Being a mom

I have become an instant mom. This is Areen. She is my Foreign Exchange daughter. She arrived on Saturday from Jordan and we are getting settled in. She loves Facebook and her email. She is 15 and will be here the entire school year. Anyone have any advice. I am single and have never had children. I am a teacher, so I know a little bit about kids. Wish me luck

Birthday Card

My great Uncle's 80th birthday party is this weekend. We are planing a large get together for anyone and everyone that knows him. This is a card I made for him. They saying is perfect for him. He feels that a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.

The products I used to create this card are C1277 Catch of the day, our textured card stock for the background, the printed paper is from X7110B Back Country paper pack. I used Liquid Glass to adhere the white hemp. The fish is colored in with colored pencils.

Family Time

Spent some time with the family and had to share some of the pictures. We celebrated my dad's 67th birthday. The girls wanted to help decorate, so I made 2 cakes and they each got to decorate one.

The girls were very proud of their cakes. They couldn't wait for Grandpa's birthday, so he got them a few days early.

The baby was trying very hard to get to grandpa's cake, but grandma held on tight.

I haven't been very creative lately, but do have some cards I will post later this week.
