Snow on the Mind

The first cold snap has came and went here in Missouri. As a teacher the first thing I think about when the temperature gets around freezing is SNOW. I have snowmen on the brain. Here are two cards that I made. I really like the snowman with the lattice, but I am not sure about the snowman with the cuttlebug background. I tried putting a saying in the snowman and I don't think it works as well as it could have if the words were somewhere else. Wht do you think??

Cuttlebug and CPS #87

Well I have been sorta busy. This week I had Scrapbook club Monday night at School 6-8:30 pm and Parent Teacher conferences this week Wednesday and Thursday night until 7:30. It makes for long days and a long week. I have also had a lot of grading to do, so that takes the rest of the evening and Tuesday evening I stayed after to try and get caught up. I only have one class left and I am caught up!!--at least until next week.

Saw the new Challenge at http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/2008/10/cuttlebug-challenge-4.html and decided to play. I also wanted to play with the CPS #87 sketch challenge

For this card I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder -Heart Block and Stylized Flowers, Fiskars border threading water punch, paper from More To Adore Level 1 Kit , flowers from Just Blooms Big Pinks, Love you from D1309 December SOM: Heart Throb, Clear Sparkles, and Ribbon Rounds-Chocolate by Close To My Heart.

My friend Erin turned me onto a Cuttlebug blog http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/.

They have challenges and I was feeling creative last night and finished up today. This is my entry for the challenge the was issued on October 8th- Something fall.
I couldn't decide which one I like best so here are all 3. Hope you like them. The stamp and ink are from Close To My Heart, I used Embossing Folder Leafy Branch from Cuttlebug, and my nestabilities for the circle and square. I also used a fiskars border bunch.

Getting together with friends

Today I got together with some Close To My Heart Friends and we made some cards. Everyone brought a card they designed and supplies so we could all make one. This was a great way to get new ideas and see friends that I haven't seen for awhile. We had fun and made some cute cards. Hope you enjoy the artwork

The artwork designers are: Owl by Dawnette Wiskur, Leaves by Aimee Garrecht, Merry Christmas by Trina Straub, Poinsettia by Sue Shockley, Snowman by me, and Love You by Jennifer Mueller. All products are Close To My Heart.

Bad Blogger

I have been such a bad blogger. I had no idea it had been sooooo long since I blogged. I have been working on my Christmas Cards and hopefully this weekend I will get some ready to post. The last few weeks of work have been very busy and I am not able to get enough sleep. As I type it is way past my bedtime, but I fell asleep watching the VP Debate. I just can get excited about politics. I try to pay attention, but always fail. So now I am at my computer when I should be snoozing. If you are a card maker and looking for some ideas check out Janette Lynton's(founder of Close To MY Heart)blog http://www.jeanettelynton.com/2008/09/original-for-you.html she has a new card pattern to try out.
Well I am off to sleep.
