Favorite Page from Scrapbook Retreat & Retreat Pictures

This page is one of my favorites from the Retreat. It is also the last page I made. I love this picture of my parents. It was taken around Christmas, and I think it is a good picture. Lots of times my dad will have a funny expression on his face and this is more of a natural expression. It is a tradition at Christmas to take lots of group and individual portraits. I always make a calendar for my grandma. The calendar will have pictures of whom ever has a birthday or anniversary on that month.

The Scrapbook Retreat was this last weekend. It was a good weekend to be inside, since it rained Saturday and Sunday. Although, the weekend started a little on the rough side. I had not been feeling well the day before and the hormones with a capital H were in full force on Friday. After I got there and got everything set up it went GOOD. Above is a picture of my work area. There was lots of space and I could nest, which is what I always do. I must spread my wings and reach out in every direction.

Below is a picture of Karen Hays. She and Erin put the Retreat together. They are in the process of getting a Fall retreat set up.

Below is Erin K. By the Fall Retreat she will be a new mommy.

Betty was my roommate. She was very organized and creative.

There were lots of things to learn and create. It was a fun experience and well worth the time. I will be posting more pages and pictures through the week.

Thanks for looking

Scrapbook Page

I did a CTMH Hostess party last night and they wanted to make a scrapbook layout that they could use for camping, fishing, or boys. I thought the Its a Guy Thing paper was perfect for that. I don't camp, so I didn't have any pictures, but I think these pictures work with the layout. I looked in Reflections to decide on the layout format. I used stamp sets D1201 Frame of Mind and C1279 Roughin' It. It still needs a title, not sure what to do with that.
These pictures were taken a few years ago when I was moving to my house I am currently in. The little girl is Addy and her mom is a good friend. She was trying to keep busy while we packed up my house. I am sort a pack rat and always have more stuff than I need. I am also good at packing, so there was lots of stuff packed into my little house.
So today I am off to a weekend retreat. I should have already been gone, but had lots to do before I could leave. Hope you like the layout. I hope to have lots more to post next week.

Easter/New Niece/ & Bugawumps

Been gone all weekend for Easter. I hope Everyone had a great Easter. I got to see my New Niece for the first time. She is soooo cute. She is just over a month old and does the normal baby thing. Eats, sleeps, cries, and gives Aunt Roxie a stinky present. Well at least it didn't run out of the diaper!!! This picture makes me think --What is MaKayla planning on doing?? Doesn't she look like she is up to something?

Today I got home and worked on a book at Shutterfly for my niece and then needed a little actual hands on creativity. So I still haven't got anything acomplished with the stamp of the month, but I did go to the stamp store before the weekend and loved this stamp. It is from Bugawumps and is so cute. The technique in the background is from Technique Junkies. It is called Bingo Blast. I used Radient Rain Paint dobbers to create the splash affects. The paper is from Paper Temptress. They are so pretty. Not sure if the Iridescents wil show up on the picture. They are always running a great special, so be sure to check them out.

April Stamp of the month

Life has got in the way. Saturday I had to mow yard since it was suppose to rain on Sunday. Sunday I woke up feeling yucky. I am still not feeling well, but life goes on.
Well I haven't got any artwork myself yet, but I am in the process of getting some uploaded soon. This is a great stamp set. It is perfect for the fisherman in your life. It is only available this month, so be sure to check out my website to see how to get one for yourself.

Be sure to check back through the week for artwork with this stamp set.

Thanks for stopping in.
