Simply Snapshots/Thats Amore Display Board

Simply snapshots Thats Amore Display Board.

The 12x12 page was made from one 9X9 Simply Snapshots
and 2 12 X 12 pieces of paper. The idea for this page comes
from CTMH's Imagine pg 102-103 Double Take. The 9x9 Simply

Snapshot border is cut off and the rest is cut down the middle.
This creates the bottom border and the two picture borders.
I used a piece of Colonial White Cardstock for the base. I
used stamp sets D1330 Connections ( I love this stamp!!!)

to create a Faux Designer Paper. The Faux Designer Paper

is based on a technique from Technique Junkies Newsletter.

The Ribbon is from the New Creative Basics Emporium Collection.

Below is a close up of one of the cards. This card is made from 1/2
of a 9X9 simply snapshots piece of paper. I added a small piece of
chocolate cardstock, waxy flax, and ribbon. The flower stamp is from

D1255 Thoughts of You. The sketch for this card comes from CTMH's Originals.

PCP Sketch Challenge Sk011009/Thats Amore-Simply Snapshots

I have been playing with some new products from CTMH and came up with this card. It uses D1344 Ms. Gardner, X8533 Thats Amore Simply Snapshots, X1407 Journaling Spots- Love Always, Blush Ric-Rac Ribbon, Z1136 White Daisy Collection Accents . I saw on Hands, Head and Heart there was a challenge posted on Paper Planet
They posted a sketch today and I think my card looks alot like that sketch turned on its side.

Close ups show detail . The Thanks(From Ms Gardner stamp set) is stamped on a Love Always Tag. The little lady's background comes from the 9X9 Simply Snapshots Thats Amore paper. I challenged myself to see what all I could do with this paper. Come back through the week for more ideas .Posted by Picasa

Desk top calendar w/Family picture

My family had Christmas last weekend. It was late coming, but my sister works retail, so the holiday is a hard time for her to get off work. It went really well. We all had a great visit. There are a few missing, but it is hard for everyone to get together. Below is a picture of all of us. My Grandma in the middle is 82 and the youngest is 3 unless you look at my sister carrying the actual youngest that is due in March. I am looking forward to a new and healthy niece in March.

I decided I wanted to find a way to have the picture on my desk, I remembered my friend Karen made something like this last year. I used a horizontal plastic picture frame from Walmart, X5806 Creative Basics, and D1339 Moments in Time Stamp Set(January Stamp of the Month). I also used a pen and velcro dots.

I wanted to put coordinating paper inside the pen, but the one I have was too small on the inside to take paper. If anyone out there has any ideas on what pen works best for this I would love to hear what type you all use.
This is a side view.
The SOM D1339 Moments in Time has each set up of days and the name of the months seperate. The combination makes it a versatile stamp set. I used a removable adhesive to put each month together , so that after each month I peel to reveal the next month. The last month is attached to the plastic picture frame with glue dots.
Thanks for looking and I look forward to seeing what type of pens everyone uses.

Me and My horse

I realized this morning that I didn't have the pictures from New Years Day. They are on my friend Cheryl's camera. I board my horse at Rocking Horse Ranch in St. Clair Mo. It is a great place to board and they take great care of their animals. The pictures below were taken on Tuesday 12/30/08 after we had finished riding. My horse has changed so much in the last few years and I haven't taken many pictures. It isn't very good picture of me, but the horse looks good. If I get the pictures from yesterday I will post them because there was a 20 degree temperature difference. So all you could see of me was my nose. I was covered from head to toe. The last picture is of one of Cheryl's walking horses(Champ). He was looking for a treat.

Happy New Year

Welcome New Year
2009 started great. I went horse back riding today with some friends. It was cold, but worked out well. I hopefully will post a picture or 2 tomorrow morning before heading to my parents house for our Family Christmas. We have a lot of different work schedules that have to be worked around.

With the New Year comes resolutions. For me the last year has been a year of ups and downs. As some of you know I struggle with some health issue.

Goal #1 is to get healthy this year and spend less time as a couch potato. Today was a great start. We left the barn around 9: 30 . We rode at Indian Creek, Mo It was a wonderful day. The sun was out and there was a good breeze( Ha Ha ) BURRRR!! but it got warmer and ended up being a great day. Thank you to the inventor of Coveralls, thinslate, and anything else used on cold days.

Goal #2 is to be better at my jobs. Creativity and patience as I am a cardmaker and teacher.

Well what are your goals for the new year?

Always find your happy place
