Calendar ARt

A few years back I made a Calendar for my grandma and now it is expected. I think this is the 4th or 5 th year for Calendar for Christmas. Here are some of the Months. More will follow later this week. We are actually doing Christmas this Wednesday, so most of them don't have pictures yet. I have a kodak dock printer and it works great. We get current pictures of everyone that comes. There are still a few that I have to use old pictures.

January- Letter Stickers are from a QVC Kit, ribbon is from Michaels

February- Everything is CTMH

March- Paper is CTMH and the shamrocks are from Michaels
I put pictures of any one that has a birthday that month of anniversary. March is a busy month, I still need to get pictures of at least 5 people.
All paper is Close to My Heart.
Thanks for looking. I am off to pack and get on the road.

More Christmas Card

These are the cards I worked on last night. They are the same but different.
I used my Scor-pal to put the grooves in the white paper.
The colors are CTMH Twilight, Tulip, and Creme Brulee.
The images are from CTMH Stamp set Chillin. It is a cute stamp. I added Glitter to each image to make it have more interest.
I used colored pencils to color in the scarfs and skates.

The bottom image uses a stamp I purchased at the stamp store. I just love this stamp and I have a friend that will love this card. The stamp is by Inkadinkado.
Thanks for stopping in.
Christmas is right around the corner and it looks like a lot of rain for my part of Missouri. I am wishing for snow, but I don't think we are going to get any.

Lets make a Santa Box

A friend of mine had a box similar to this that she made at a class and I thought I can do that.

Today I made 4 of them as well as some cards that I will share with you tomorrow. I know Christmas is just around the corner, but I am forever a procrastinator so I am still busy busy busy.

Now you are wondering how is he made?? He is easy.

Below are the tool that I used to create all of the pieces.
Step 1 was to cut the shape of the beard. I used a Quick Cuts die. Then used a Cuttle Bug Embossing folder to add the dry embossed design.

The next picture shows the white as well as pink cut with the same Quick cuts die in Pink and I cut it in 1/2. There is also a pink circle that will be the mouth when it is finished.
The picture below shows that next step in constructing our Santa. I created a pattern for the mustache.
The nose is from a tag punch and I only used half of it.

The eyes use 2 different sizes of circle punch. The pink eye lids are the same size as the white of the eyes. I used a white opaque pen to add the details to the eyes. The white on top will become the fur of his hat. It is large white circles cut with Spellbinder Nestabilities, put through the cuttle bug embossing folder, and then cut in 1/2.
The hat should have been easy, but it took a few tries to get the right measurements. The width depends on the size of the die you are using and I used 3 5/8 by 5 inches. I found the center and cut up from each corner to the middle
I curled the hat down and secured it with glue dots and then added another circle and bell to the hat.

The box is a 2,5,7,10 box.
I took a 81/2 by 11 and cut it down to 6 X 11 ( this may be different depending on the size die you used for the basic face.) I followed the basic instructions that SplitCoast Stampers have on their site. They are very good and show pictures.
So I put the paper horizontal and scored at 2, 5, 7, and 10. The I turned it vertical and scored at 2 inches. The next step is to fold on the score marks, 2, 5, 7, and 10. There will be some cutting on the bottom to create a closed end.

All paper is Close T o My Heart.
Thanks for stopping in. I hope you liked it.

Christmas is only 5 days away!!!!!!

Christmas Cards

Went to a Toys for Tots Crop this weekend and got some more Christmas Cards finished. Now I need to start getting them in the mail.

I tried a technique I saw on CTMH T.V.
You start with a solid image --- stamp it in Bamboo ink. Then you color it with inks or colored pencils to make it look hand drawn. It is different. I used ink and a watercolor pen, but I think I will try it again with pencils and see if I like it better that way. I also used a glue pen and glitter to accent it. The stamp set is Heartfelt Christmas.

This card uses the same stamp set, and I added Glitter to the snowflakes for a little more interest. I also used chocolate and cocoa ink on the reindeer to create a shadow image.
The card above and below uses the stamp set Santa's List
They are colored using watercolor pencils and watercolor pens.
I added Glitter, pearls, and a twinkle brad to the Christmas tree.

The paper is from the Creative Basics Jingle Collection.

Cookie Exchange Recipe Card-Jingle

I had a cookie exchange last weekend. Met with my scrapbook girls. We created recipe cards that will fit in CTMH My Creations Display Album. mine isn't decorated yet and I didn't get a picture of my friends.

The first card is a pocket card. My recipe was too large to fit so I created a pocket for it o fit in.

The recipe card has some decoration on it. The stamp is from Holiday Hoopla and the ink colors are Juniper and Tulip

This recipe card uses the stamp set Chillin from CTMH, Jingle Collection, white ribbon, and CTMH new Twinkle Brads

Areen's Firsts

Wow!!!! What a week it has been. The phone and DSL are still out, it has a been a full moon, so the students at school have been nuts. I haven't had any time to do anything creative, and At least the weather is wonderful. So I thought I would post some of Areen's first American Experiences. I think she is having a good time. She is suppose to go to Six Flags this Saturday.

Areen is here for the school year and has had many firsts in October alone.

First Pumpkin Carving

First Halloween

First Soccer Game

I hope I get some of them scrapbooked this weeks. Hopefully my phone and DSL will be up and running by next week and I can get some Artwork up.

Technical Difficulties

My phone and internet went down on Monday and they(phone company) say it will be up to another week before it is fixed. Apparently my neighborhood is having a phone problem and the company can't find the problem. So I will hopefully get something posted soon.
Until then

Wedding Card

This card was made for Amy. I have watched her grow up and she was a beautiful bride. Her colors were orange and white and I thought this would be perfect.
I love how this card turned out. I won the stamp Cake Topper at The Greeting Farm blog.
They give away somehting almost every week and they have such cute rubber stamps and digitial images. The base card is from Michaels and I used my Copic to color it .
Hope you are staying dry. It is a very wet week here in Missouri!!!

Merry Monsters

Had computer problems last week. My Foreign Exchange daughter downloaded a few viruses. They got caught, but I think there is still something floating around in the computer. If it gets any slower it will not be working at all. Need to get it to the computer guy. Anyway here are my halloween cards, if I get them finished.

My Halloween card this year uses Merry Monsters

This is such a cute stamp set from CTMH. The printed paper is from Michaels and I used Copics to color in the Orange Monster. The card layout is from last weeks CPS sketch 138 . I got it made, but with everything that was going on I didn't get anything posted.

Hope you like it. Now I need to get more finished and in the mail as soon as possible.
Have a great week

Envelope Treat bag

Saw this cute idea on my Upline Tina's blog. I used Holiday Hoopla stamp set again. I love this set. It is good for any holiday. The paper is from Twitterpated.

I used decorative scissors to cut the top.

It is a mini treat bag made from an envelope. So cool, easy, and cheap.

This cute little bag uses Merry Monsters stamp set and Twitterpated paper. On this one I used decorative scissors for the top of the envelope as well as the handle. I took the scraps from the handle and glued them to the bottom of the bag. Isn't it just sooo cute. A great way to make lots of goody bags.
Thanks Tina for putting this on your blog. I have heard of it, but havn't tried it before.
